Indonesia's Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Regulation No. PER.04/MEN/1980 sets requirements for installing and maintaining fire extinguishers, including periodic inspection. Between technician service visits, your own team can carry out simple visual checks.
Visual checklist
- Pressure gauge needle in the green (operable) zone.
- Safety pin in place and tamper seal intact.
- Hose and nozzle free of cracks, blockages or detachment.
- Cylinder free of dents, rust or leaks.
- Label and service date legible and still valid.
- Access unobstructed, signage clearly visible.
- Bracket or cabinet firmly fixed.
If you find a problem
Take the unit out of service, replace it temporarily with a spare, and report it for servicing or refilling.
Go digital with FireCare 360
Every extinguisher can carry a QR label. Scanning it shows inspection history and the next due date, and lets staff raise a service request on the spot.
